I had no idea how bad things were after the earthquake in Haiti until I saw some pictures.  I have heard a lot of discussion and argument about Pat Robertson's stupid and inappropriate remarks about the people of Haiti.  The bottom line is that God created men in His own image.  There are thousands of people in Haiti who have died and thousands more who have been physically injured or emotionally tortured as a result of the recent earthquake.

Make no mistake, there are sinners in Haiti, just like everywhere else in the world, but our job is to show them all the love of Christ.  Please pray for the people of Haiti.  Please give money to relief funds if you can afford it.  Please consider going to Haiti to help if you're in a position to do so.  Please continue to pray, give and go for the next year.  There will be needs for years to come.  Precious people are dying in Haiti and they desperately need help and the love of Christ.

Father, please grant the people of Haiti and all affected by this trajedy the grace and mercy that only You can offer.  Please let Your glory be shown throughout these awful times in that place.  Please raise up many people of Your church to go, to give witness to Your greatness by helping and showing Christ to these people.  I trust You, Lord.  Please show Your love to the people in Haiti and draw them under Your wing in this time of great need.  May everything be for Your glory alone!  Amen.

The Boston Globe has a photo blog on which they've posted pictures taken directly after the quake as well as some taken 48 hours afterward.  These are some very graphic pictures so use caution but please look at them.  Please remember that the people in them are God's creation.  Please pray for them.
